Re: Progress On My BBT Sprintcar
There's a special glue you can use to put a print-out of the above on the inside of the body before you paint it. But since it's white against black: give the above picture to a vinyl cutter and just have the white stuff pre-cut at some different scales. You can then lay it out however it fits best to the body and just have the body painted all black.
If you find a printer that does white you could also print the white stuff on a transparent film: probably easier to put down the text parts well.
I picked this theme for its potential for realism and 'cause it is rather simple: so it doesn't spoil the beauty of the car itself.
Been thinking of a Johnny Walker for one of my own bodies too

Hi everyone. Here are the photos that I said I would post of my BBT sprinter. I Hope you like it. Please comment on it let me know what you think. I still have quite a bit of work that needs to be done to make it functional but I am working on it. I still have to work on getting the decals on it and numbered. I also have to finish mounting the body pieces as well.

have not decided on the decals yet. I have been thinking about Home Depot for the sponsor however I am not a fan of Tony Stewart. Got any ideas?THEYTOOKMYTHUMB wrote:Looks friggin' awesome! What decals will it have?

well, being as though tony stewart isn't sponsored by home depot, there shouldn't be a problem.Acemechanic wrote: I have been thinking about Home Depot for the sponsor however I am not a fan of Tony Stewart. Got any ideas?

Wow that's going to be a hard act to follow..very very nice..may I just mention that the body normally half covers the side plates..in other words it goes over the sides not behind it..when I say normally it would of course depend on the body you are using..great work..well done..

Re: Progress On My BBT Sprintcar
Wow thank you so very much for the kind words. Your comments really mean alot to me since I also admire the work you have put into your car. When I purchased my car new I remember trying to copy the body of the car on the cover/box. The body that I have also fits very nicely tucked between the side panel and the roll bar. I found a couple old advertisements for the BBT sprinters. Mine is vindicator and I belive yours is the desparado. If you look at the vindicator ad you will see what I am talking about. Thanks
Gordon.

Hey whatever works for you is all good by me..if you check on ebay you can find some really nice Parma and Autographics decals...most of them are old stock so they will go with the period of your car..there are even complete team sets as well..with your colours the Wax Shop would look good..plus add all the other product decals around the sides and wing..it would look sharp..

Re: Progress On My BBT Sprintcar
Thank you everyone for your Ideas for sponsor decals for my car. I have found a decal set that i like. I am going to go with the Sears Die Hard sponsor decal set for my car and I am going to number it #1. I also bought a contingency decal set that will really set the car off. I will post some more photos after i get the decals installed. Thanks again.

Die Hard decal scheme isn't really going to work with all that orange.
