New guy

Post by j.d.roost »

Just wanted to say hi.
I have been keeping an eye on the 2008/2009 nats. threads so I
thought I would join. I am waaayyy into Tamiya cars.
I have a lot of nib/shelf queens and runners. Running my old
Hotshot around my local rc track last year gave me the itch to go
vintage racing (wish I kept that old jr pro I had). I might try and make it up for the race.
That weekend might be tough to do for me (wife and I have plans). If
not, I am working on putting together a vintage race at my local track. (Action hobby, soon to change owners/name).
I will keep you guys (gals) posted if any of you want to make a trip over to Pa.
Hope to talk more vintage rc with you all soon.
Jd

Hello j.d. I'm a fellow Hotshot enthusiast and was at last year's VONats. It was a great time. I'm in the same boat with plans for the holiday weekend, but I'm going to try to be there again.
Welcome aboard!
The preceding contained opinions, beliefs and thoughts that all may not agree with. No offense was intended at any point. Carry on.

I will try and get some pics of my hotshot posted this week.
It has a sassy chassi and a thorp rear diff (not a shelf queen either). I had to put a funky front shock setup on it to use the sassy chassi. I am running hpi rs4 loower front arms to make it work ( hope thats not illegal for rhe race). I got tired of breaking and looking fror bigwig arms on ebay..
My Tamiya collection has thinned out over the past few years ( married/house ect.) but I will try and get some pics of of what I have. I also have a few older rcca rags so I will see if there is any ads I can add for the archives.
Talk soon.
