No C rating and no hard case, I'd rather spend $45 for a Yeah Racing LIPO at least I've seen some feedback on those

Yeah, I fugure like a 3C rating is the reason for the price. I'd also charge them about 200ft from the house just to be safe. :?

I've got a few of them. Haven't had any problems with them. They pry aren't the cell quality of say a checkpoint or any high dollar battery but they were worth the money for a bash around battery. Haven't used them long enuf to say they 'last a lifetime' either but will let anyone know I abuse some of my stuff and for the price these will see some abuse. I've wrapped most of my non hard case batteries with .030 lexan because of what I put them thru  .

A friend of mine ordered one after I sent him the link. It's worth a gamble at that price. They probably come from the same factory as all the others. How's their punch compare to others? I'd like to gamble and order one, but I have a few other r/c priorities at the moment.

I have a 3200 YR battery that compares relatively the same as one of the 3200 from swanghobby. Both batteries are new and I can't tell the difference between them for punch or how long they last. I also picked up a few 4500 3cell for the vxl tb3 but don't have anything else to compare them too but the thing is a rocket versus the 4000 pack 2cells I used before them. Time will surely tell after this coming summer but for less than the price of a new checkpoint I have 7 lipos to bash around for now besides all the hipo batteries I allready had so I don't have alot of charging I do during the nights at the track. Mostly done ahead of time and topped off if I feel like dragging out a charger...and besides...I'm cheap when it comes to new stuff

turnigy makes some cheap packs, I race with a guy that uses them and his truck is just as fast as everyone else's. I have the Duratrax Onyx 230 charger, it's good and cheap and it's ac/dc so I can use it anywhere with no power supply.

i just ordered a 5200mAh 2s2p hard pack from hobbycity. we'll see how it does. the price reflects actual (offshore) cost to build this packs without the insane markup....call it what you will. there are only so many manufacturers of the lipo cell itself.

we fly tons of turnigy and zippy packs in foamie airplanes and helis, got to be at least a dozen now between 5-6 guys, with no issues except for banging them up on 'hard landings', have yet to see a pack go 'bad' with a thermal event, and that includes a pack that got sliced with a prop during one of those 'landings'. Power and capacity hasn't been a problem. I think one of the first packs now is starting to lose it's punch, though that might even be an original esky or something one of the guys has.....

I´ve been using these which look the same as yours purpletimbo, except they´re branded GE Power and 4200mah(despite the ad saying 4000mah) 25c
http://cgi.ebay.com/RC-Car-Truck-Lipo-battery-7-4v-4000mah-25C-hard-case_W0QQitemZ370267901387QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAU_Toys_Hobbies_Radio_Controlled_Vehicles?hash=item5635afcdcb

Been using them in 4WD mod with a 5.5t, can´t tell the difference between that and an Orion 3800 30c pack.

Although be very careful with the balancer socket it´s a crap design. I unplugged a bullet on one of mine and let go of it, it dropped into the balancer plug and shorted a cell out, ruined it. So leave tape over the balancer socket at all times.
