any way to renew old dried up plastic parts??

i got a parts lot off ebay and the plastic parts seem very dried up and ready to crack. all the rod ends cracked when i took them off. i was going to clean them in boiling water then when they dried spray them with wd40. but i wanted to find out what people on here thought first..

Are they plastic or nylon?

i think plastic. they are white off 6 gear rc10s how would i tell ??

If it's the white plastic off of an RC10, boiling them will make the nylon less brittle. Nylon absorbs water so boiling the parts will put a lot of the original "flex" back into them.

The first generation ball cups tend to fall apart after 20+ years.
