Resto almost done

Post by mc10ce »

I just test ran my old RC10ce that I've been restoring over the last couple of weeks. I still have to find where I want to mount all of the electrics and tidy that up plus I need to drill the body and get it mounted but I couldn't resist running it around the basement for a minute. It's the first time its ran under its own power in probably like 13 or so years. I'll try to post some pics as soon as I can.

Well its been a while but here are the pics. I figured out the bec on my Tazer speed control isn't working so i've got an LRP Quantum Super Reverse on the way. Picked it up cheap off of the web specials section on rc10.com. Now i'm starting on my RC10T.

Nice!
Wing tubes are just 3/16" aluminum tubing. You can pick up a thick-walled(tappable) 3/16" tube at your local hobby shop for ~$1.50 and cut to length several wing tubes out of it. The same stuff is used for the nose tubes as well.

Cool. Thanks for the info on the wing tubes. I still have some stuff to do. get the shock collars mounted in the proper places. I have some long green rear springs on the way so i can get the short ones off of the rear shocks.
