another member here that goes by rc-stu has done some experimenting with the anodizing process and might be able to get you some answers to your questions. Hope this helps...

Thanks, I've looked at that site and his kit prices. That kit is what I'm looking to start with. Has anyone done this and how big of a mess is it? Can you get good parts out of these kit?

can anyone anodize me 4 red shocks/caps. i want them in red. ill strip anodizing off and prep for anodizing. just need them colored, anyone? ill pay of course lol np

I could anodize what you want in any color, hust ship it overseas .
For me it's not a problem, the price for 4 pieces may be 10€uros.

We use these guys...........................give them a shout.
Here are two of my cars that I anodized, first time for me. Red is a short arm with 13.5 novak and a six gear, gold has an original stealth, 17.5 reedy, worlds shocks with 12mm springs. Both are re release worlds tubs with original nose plates....

Im rebuilding 2 rc10t's and want to get a chassis re-anodized. Does anyone know where i can get this done. A place that i can ship it or just try to find one here in MN that does small oreders. all input is welcome.

Gomachv has a place near him in WA state that looks really good. I dont have that info handy right now.
I used google to locate a place local to me when I had a chassis done. Local place was pricey though.
Tried custic soda on a beat up nose piece for a test run. Fell asleep watching the tigers game and eight hours later I have what use to be a nose piece . At least the tigers won. Maybee I need to use something less potent.

I found out the hard way that the Castrol Super Clean will take anodizing off. It does work quite well for that purpose.
I know this has been covered before, but I can't find any of the topics. I'm curious about how much custom anodizing costs. I'm thinking of doing some bike brake levers in gold. Anybody know roughly how much that would cost, who could do it, etc? I...
