Help Restoration.

Post by ThomasH »

I have a old pressed black tub stealth box RC10 (team) and was looking to update it a bit but just need a little help.

I wish to use MIP drive shafts and use modern wheels and tyres on it but hear there was some differences. Am I right in thinking the B3 shafts will just fit with a simple bearing swap in the hubs? if so are these the ones? http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXAX37&P=SM

I was also thinking about the servo linage and recall a long time ago there was a ball jointed setup available. Is this still about?

Does any place still sell the rear plastic bulkhead / upright?

Thanks :D

Yes. You just drop in the MIP 3/16" CVD and you'll be able to run the 2.2 wheels for B2/B3 or the rear wheels for Duratrax Nitro Evader. Pleasetake note that you need rims with more offset compared to B4's. If you are using the buggy rear axle carriers, you need to swap the bearings to 3/16 x 3/8 flanged. If you're using the ones for truck, you need the 3/16 x 3/8 plain.
If you are talking about bell crank with ball bearings, you might want to pm scr8p as he is selling few pairs of the Houge Bell crank. Or you can see it here:

From what I know, the rear bulkhead had been out for some time. Maybe some guys here can help you out.

As found on RC10.com, you can also change some parts on the buggy so you can run the current wheels and tires:

In order to use the current wheels and tires you will need the following:

#7378 3/16 axles
#9277 bearings (3/16 x 3/8 flanged bearings)
#7369 axle pins
#7368 axle shims
