New family member: YZ-10 Pavidis Edition

Post by phoenix »

Got this by second chance option on ebay last week. Some might remember it because we had a chat about the auction in the ebay talk forum. Does anyone remember who this car/paint scheme belonged to? The seller stated that he got it from an associated factory driver.

I'll post pics shortly as soon as i have electronics in it, removed the pimp parts and cleaned it up a bit.

I watched that one real close, was very interested in the factory spec only realese. I bought a simlar yz a few years back but it had the Losi hard shocks like this one, just wondered if this was an official release or if they were just a driver upgrade?

Nice find!

If that was from the U.S. I'm sure Matt (YZ-10) was the original winner? Looks like a sweet buy.

Driver upgrade. The original Pavidis Editions came with Team Associated hard anodised shocks.

I think the Kyosho ZX-S came with the Losi Hard Body Shocks and also Yokomo wheel adapters but I can't say for sure.

It was from the US but the winner and seller agreed to cancel the transaction.

Thanks Dual,

I guess having Losi shocks some with an AE factory driver buggy would be a bit wierd, should have though about that one

Before Team Losi came out with their XX-4, many of their team drivers were using the Yokomo range of cars and most of them changed over the stock Associated shocks for the Team Losi versions.

Could be an indication of who the previous owner was (i.e. not a Team Associated driver) but I can't say that I have seen that particular paint job before.

No that is not Rick Hohwarts car. He didn't run for LRP till he went to work at AE. That was a Peak factory driver most likely at the time cause we had those stickers made just for the team guys. If anyone ever needs specs to replicate Mark's World Championship car let me know I could probably take some pics of it.
