trackmaster belt pitch?
Hi folks,
Does anybody know what pitch is the trackmaster belt?
Any sources to buy different lengths of this belt type are welcome too.

Re: trackmaster belt pitch?
If I remember correctly, the track master belts were almost twice the width of the standard belts of that time (like on the optima mid). The pitch was also larger...similar to the ones on the optima mids.

Re: trackmaster belt pitch?
The pitch is larger than the metric M3 indeed.
I suspect it to be an imperial pitch size (like the A&L belts except that pitch is smaller than M3)
The optima mid belt is also metric I guess since kyosho is in japan where imperial ptiches are not the standard. It kind of looks like M# teeth, but with a wider spacing between them.
Still would like to know waht the Trackmaster pitch is called and where I can find a supplier for a longer belt.
My plan is to build a one-off 4wd with the main chassis build up from 2 verticalplates serving at the same time as gearcases for the front and rear, with one belt running over the pulley and both diffs.
I know , pretty ambituous but I'll take my time to finnish it.
Just need to find that belt before I start though.

Ed, I wish I knew the pitch...that is the same idea I have had for quite some time. AYK Radiant style homebuilt car.

Mr. Ed,
Do you have a standard trackmaster belt and just need to know what the belt pitch is called (can't help you there),
or are you looking for measurements from someone who has a belt? I've got a NIP belt in a rebuild kit that I could measure up if that is the case.

Re: trackmaster belt pitch?
nevermind the last post. I think I found what you need .
I measured my new belt(unfortunately no markings on it), and this is what I got:
Width: .25"
Teeth 25
Length ~5"
Pitch .2"
Overall thickness at tooth .089" (2.3mm)
Thickness in "valley" .041"
Googling a few search terms comes up with this PDF:
http://www.sdp-si.com/D790/PDF/D790C02051.pdf
the standard belt appears to be an "XL" ptich

Re: trackmaster belt pitch?
I have the original belt (by now own 2 ultima versions and 1 rc10 version)
Thanks for the measurements though, being in inches they may help me find the right stuff on some manyufacturers site.

Re: trackmaster belt pitch?
The company I got the info from above has an e-store:
https://sdp-si.com/eStore/
If you click on belts&cables then timing belts you will get a large selection.
narrow by selecting "single sided," XL pitch, and 1/4" width, and you will have 289 belts to choose from. No minimum order and they ship inernationally.
good luck.

Re: trackmaster belt pitch?
Big thanks Anthony,
I overlooked the second part of your previous post (probably paid no attention thinking it was the signature
)
Now I got the belt type and a supplier I can start working ihe concept out a bit, may try to get the chassis parts modeled in CAD and have them cnc'ed. Ooo this wil be a huge project.
Bad timing though: the company is calling me back to my home-country giving me lots of head-aches and from the end of next month, for 8 weeks minimum, all RC will sit in a container on a boat
