Losi LXT compatible with JRX-T or XX-T??

I got in a lot that I recently bought from ebay, a 10t and a Losi LXT, I was wondering, which of the two losi trucks is more closely related to the LXT, the JRXT or the XXT, any of these use the same chassis? or Tranny Case??

Mine came with a 2.61 tranny, which I'm guessing is not the XX retrofit tranny, but I could be wrong.

Can I use the RC10T screw set to put the LXT together again??

The lxt has more that is interchangeable with the JRX-T than with the XXT. Both the AE and losi cars of the era used 4-40 and 8-32 screws, so much of the hardware from the 10t can be used on the lxt.

I'll take some pics tomorrow, I took the LXT appart, to clean it up and put it back together.

the 10T looks in quite good shape, besides missing the gear cover, and some scratches on the bottom of the chassis.

Anthony captured most of what you asked about....... if the trans case has raised numbers on the side of either 2.61 or 2.19, then yes, it is the retro fit trans.

Will the XXT body fit on the LXT??

They have a couple XXT bodies on ebay.

The Dahm body that it came with, was ripped in the front and held on with duct tape, but it also came with the same body, painted, in good condition without any holes.

I don't know why I'm asking all these questions, I'll probably end up selling it on ebay anyways, but something inside of me is telling me to bring it back to life

Is the LXT tranny case gray instead of black? Another indication that its a XX retro tranny. As far as I know all of the LXTs came with a black six gear 2.18 JR LRM tranny. The LXT is the truck version of the JRx Pro SE buggy.

Let me know if you need any help with the manuals, screw sizes/lengths and such.

The tranny case is gray and it has a raised number 2.61 on the opposite side from the Slipper Cover.

As far as the JRX Pro SE, is the chassis the same??

The chassis on the LXT that I got, is all perforrated (lightened), I mean it doesn't look bad, they must've used a template, because it looks identical on both sides. Most of it is salvageable, but the restorer in me wants a non cut chassis.

Yep, at least mine both have a 4051 chassis. Note there are 2 possible wheelbases, mounting positions for the rear end.

I thought there was another length chassis available, but I can't seem to locate any info on it. Offhand I can't remember if it was shorter or longer. I think that the lengths overlapped, the longer on one was the shorter on the other.

That's great info Bongo, I think I located a Pro SE chassis, and a 2.19 retro fit tranny, one of the mounting holes on my LXT tranny case is broken, so I need new cases for the tranny.

Damn, ya got me. The XXT is about the only thing I don't have.
Not sure if they are a 1 or 2 hole rear mount, I think that would be the main possible issue.
My son has a friend who has one though, if no one else chimes in I can check.

Don't overlook that the 2.19 & 2.61 have some different internals. Different diff gear, idler gear shaft, top shaft, top gear, idler gear.

Not always exactly true...... it seems the last run of the stock JRX2 cases were molded in in the same material and color as the retro trans, so be careful with that one.

The XXTCR body fits very well on the LXT. The XXT, can be made to fit, but might take additional trimming around the rear shock tower area.

I dont know much about the XXT but the LXT I still race today. well I did, I started racing again this year. Frist time since 1992 and I started racing my LXT again. it was great! I ran a brushless system in it and it was just as fast as the T4's I was racing. I still race my Jrx pro se same as LXT but a buggy, they put me in with the MOD. 4wd cars and it holds its own with a stock 27 turn motor. and I just use another front body mount on the rear tower and run a HPI Dodge Ram body on it. the JrxT ft mount works well for after market bodys. the only reason I gave in and bought a T4 is some of the guys at my track are kind of rough and I wanted to be able to by parts in the shop and they dont carry Losi parts. and I just wanted a NEW truck. Plus someone paid me an obseen amount of money for my LXT and I have another one. keep them both or ship them to me I will!! the Retro fit trans is great never let me down with a brushless. here is my LXT

Thanks for the info there rickster, I'll be putting the RC10t on ebay soon, but i'm gonna rebuild the LXT with a XXT cr body, and some LXT/XXT disk wheels, and then, take it from there, will I keep it, sell it, time will tell
