Jay Halsey RC10 Replica / '85 Worlds
Re: jay halsey replica (updated)
Man, that thing is so close to being done. Looks just awesome! I'm back to square one because I just sold that body I painted up.
Re: jay halsey replica (updated)
Looks awesome guys (both of you).
The fact Jay won the "Stock" world title, does that mean a 24 degree stock motor as we know it (stock/mod motors), or 2wd (2wd=stock/4wd=mod)?

Re: jay halsey replica (updated)
i spent some time messing with the car today. since i'm planning on running the car a little bit at the v-nats, i finally setup the electronics. i was VERY happy to find out they all still worked.
i also picked up one of the duratrax 1500 yellow label sanyo packs to use in it.
i also dyed a front shock tower black, since i couldn't seem to find a graphite tower that i thought would be correct for the car. it'll be good enough until something comes along.
it'll also be painted and decaled by the end of the month. FINALLY!!

That looks fantastic! I'd love to do a build like that, but some of those parts are pretty scarce.

it's funny you say that. with all these chassis' that are bombarded with holes on egay, there's a possibility that one of them was jay's. makes you wonder.

Re: jay halsey replica (updated)
i was really hoping to get the body painted last weekend. but, i just can't seem to get the blue to look the way i want it. i'm gonna mess around with it again this weekend, and hopefully i can hit on something. i need to figure it out soon or it's not gonna make it to the v-nats.
i was looking through my decals, and i could've swore i had the small white "team associated" decals. but, i only have them in black. so, if anyone has a couple, or a sheet they could spare, let me know.

Tower has a lot of associated decals. These might work if you cut out the "team associated"scr8p wrote:i was looking through my decals, and i could've swore i had the small white "team associated" decals. but, i only have them in black. so, if anyone has a couple, or a sheet they could spare, let me know.

i took the car out for a couple blasts down the street on friday. it runs pretty good. the tires are not new anymore.
