Just by working with them, they don't even seem like the black parts are nylon anymore. They are harder than the old nylon parts so it appears to be a similar material to today's cars.

The reason I ask. Is because some of these parts look to have started out black at first.

I think he wants to go from black to another lighter color.
The late-model black RC10 parts from Associated are not dyed white nylon, they are molded black composite nylon. Those are black and they will always be black.
The photo of those green parts are what happens when you leave the parts in the dye too long. They were never black, as there is no way to remove dye once the parts have been done.
So no, if you have black parts that were either dyed or molded in black nylon, they cannot be re-colored.

How do you figure that they started out black? I don't see that at all.... not sure I understand.

Some of the parts just look darker than the other... Thats all. Thats why I asked
