I have to find the camera... I have a Futaba FP-MC8 in one of my runner Grasshoppers.
Somewhere squirreled away is the plastic case it came in-- $159.99 if I recall correctly!
Cool collection btw!!!

wow, thoes tekin m star gold esc look identical to the tekin g-9. i wonder if thoes were the special team models that kevin orth had made with matched fet's and other goodies. perhaps thats what the m stands for?
The Tekin U10 was basically a G-9 (still a great ESC for Stock Class Racing) in a pre-production case.
The Red Tekin MStar came out after Masami's win in the 1/12 scale class at the 1996 IFMAR World Championships in California. It came in a special case with an extra long (height wise) heatsink.
Recently I've purchased two vintage rcs' with the electronics. I want to run all vintage if possible but these two escs' will steer just fine but do not throttle. I swapped controllers and it didn't help. I also hooked the motor directly to the...

This RC10 I have been working on came with an ESC that was dead to the world when I got it a few weeks ago. I took the screw out (disassembling the ESC) and wiggled the components around GENTLY and it started working again. I also took electronics...
Back in the day before ESC's came out a reverse circuit was accomplished in rc cars/buggies using a micro switch. Dose anyone remember what size ceramic resistor was used to reduce power in the reverse circuit?
i won this on ebay last week. does anyone know around what year this model came out? mainly, i'm just wondering if it's old enough to put in my 6010 queen.

As the title says , I'd like to know how reliable an old vintage ESC would be , something like a Novak 410 for instance , I like to run my cars so any electronics need to work plus I don't want to ruin a nice vintage bit of kit by using it .
So are...

I run several vintage ESC and motor combinations and have no issues. I don't run lipo. NiMh and some older 3000 mAh NiCds - everything works just fine. I have a couple Optima Mid's and my favorite has a LeMans 240SB (that's an old 30,000 RRM mill)...
I'm finishing up my Losi Jrx-Pro and want to find the speed control I used to use long ago. It was made by Tekin, and it was squard with a keypad on the top...no heatsinks or anything. It was an awesome ESC for its time. Can anyone help me out with...

Just to add some additional details: the Pro Tempfet ESC600 only had 3 wires for improved efficiency. This is mentioned in the manual. That means the image in the OP is an ESC300.
