Re: Factory Works Ten4.1 project
Thanks to Nick Barber of Remote Control Hobbies Orlando I have finally acquired an original set of our original Ten4 pulleys and idlers made for us by Robinson Racing back in 2015 or so. Interestingly enough they are pretty similar to the new AE 4wd parts. If anyone wants to build our 2015 version of the Ten4, these would be a good fit

I mean, if anything I guess you could be flattered...
Crazy to me how close their stuff is to your OG 2015 release. I picture a Mission Impossible type scenario of AE getting a Factory Works 2015 car!

Re: Factory Works Ten4.1 project
with the pulleys and idlers it was all Robinson. We told them what we wanted, but they did all the design work.

Any chance for an overdrive gear set in the future? Like a +1 rear pulley...or similar.

That is so cool! If Jeff ever offers this kit again I need to find a car to use it for and do this same thing.

Question to all... If we see a new Ten4.1 or Ten4.2 kit become available. What Vintage or ReRe model would you use for your build?

soon
the best available right now is the Team car, as it has the correct transmission. If they do further models, like a worlds car, that will also be good.

I have a World's re-re but I want to leave it as is. I need to find a Team car I guess, OG or re-re.

Re: Factory Works Ten4.1 project
Hey GoMachV,
I need a little education on Stealth transmission compatability as it pertains to Ten4.1 conversions. I have 3 OG cars that I think would be good candidates but I'm not sure of the differences if any in the stealth transmissions?
I plan to build a Ten4.? as a runner so I ranked the cars by priority with that in mind. Which if any is a good candidate for the conversation?
Car 1 - is a B stamp gold pan in well used condition. Plastics are a mix of black and white with CVD's. Team Car? Car 2 - is a B stamp black pan in very good condition. All white plastics with dog bones. I'm not sure if this is a CE or Team Car? Car 3 - is a C stamp gold pan in excellent condition. All black plastics with dog bones. Once again, not sure if it's a CE or Team Car? Thank you for your expert opinion on this!
Alan

Re: Factory Works Ten4.1 project
all of those are going to be the same internally, and all compatible. I would pick the one with the least amount of wear, or combine them into one with the best condition parts
