@GoMachV, if we want a 4WD now, AE's the only option right, as yours has been long discontinued?

We quit kitting ours in December to make room for mip. I have a plan going forward but can't commit to it until I know for sure what Eustace is doing

I unfortunately also missed the boat on the kits. Should have just bought one and worried about getting a car for it later.
Consistency is the key I keep misplacing.

Let’s face it boys, this all is just plain not cool… AE 150 percent didn’t even have to make an 4wd RC10. They never did and it should have stayed that way. Just messing with history and going about it in a real greasy way. I believe I’m right in saying that the only reason the RC10 was ever as successful and as popular as it was for so damn long was the aftermarket company support and this is just a hard slap in the face to yes one man’s creativity and craftsmanship but really the aftermarket as well.
Hey TTAE, stay on your side of the road and choose a lane.
Who do you race for ?
Me……. I race for me.
That’s impossible, I was told you need a sponsor to race.
Hey Cru ! Go balls out 8)

I feel for you guys. The AE re-re community really deserves better from their favorite brand. AE charges a pretty big premium for their stuff, but they fall short on quality, content, accuracy, and now ethics.

Finished up the body work...

Never thought I'd see the day I'd own three 4wd rc10's, what a great time for retro RC. Can't wait to see the MIP kit, hopefully they still do one, I have a team car rere waiting for it.

Yes, when you see what Kyosho, Yokomo, Schumacher are selling their rere's for. All of which do some nice upgrades and kind of re engineer the whole thing to address the faults of the original without being too different from original that became very apparent.

But let's keep that a secret so the others don't get any ideas :D

yeah man, if i was in the buyin phase i'd be hard pressed to pick an ae 4x kit over something like a schumacher or kyosho 4x that's already kitted up pretty good.

i dont think the 4x rc10 car is gonna be hard to get for quite some time anyway. hopefully ae makes a ton of them and floods the market.

speaking of, is there any reference for how many kits ae has been making?

Cougar 2 works ($325) and Optima Pro, ($304) with $15 A main coupon have entered the chat. Frankly, the level of finish and parts is higher on both. AE is not spending more than those to manufacture their cars and likely selling more than both combined so in theory, yeah, pretty pricey. I better be careful, I lose my rc10talk card with the AE bashing. To be fair, I have a large AE stash, they are iconic but objectively speaking, they are behind in this market despite releasing a car every minute. The value and quality is 2nd or 3rd to others.

Of course they seem to be charging what the traffic will bare so can't fault them. The design ripoff here on the 4wd, that's a different can of something all together.
