This is really tempting, even as a spectator.
Frankensteined RC10T3 / Franky Jr RC10GT-e (x2) / A+ stamp / Toy Story RC / Graphite replica / B1.5 BFG 5LTi / Clonewald / Hyper Hornet

Why would anyone want to go to Las Vegas, NV when they could go to New Albany, IN instead?
I spent the last few years making excuses for never taking the wife to Vegas. Maybe the time has come to let her have her wish....

For me it's financial. I can drive 8 hours to Vegas and stay for 5 days. Cost me around 1k. I priced out flying to Indiana, renting a car and a hotel for 5 days at 2k. That's a lot of dough to drop just to see important people that don't know me or like me. Lol.

Finally a vintage race I can drive to. Hotel booked. The entry form isn't clear but I emailed Associated and its $150 PER class with a 5 class max.

Oh wow, that's pretty high considering most of us have several cars that they could bring. Dang

Good on you Jeff if a 5 day run in Vegas is a G. Not to mention 5 days is def a max length of time in Vegas before you're broke, exhausted, or wake up married to a random girl named Candy-GoMachV wrote: ↑Fri Jan 17, 2025 11:59 am For me it's financial. Unless I missed it, where are they holding the actual race?

It's being held indoors at the Orleans, the host hotel.
5 days for me is way too much but I like to pad it just a bit. I hate Vegas, mainly as I hate being around gobs of people. Not a city person. I'll make it work. Once I park my car I don't plan to move it for 5 days

Zero chance of me making an appearance at that one. For one, not driving that far, and not flying. It's only a month after Vonats. There may be another 10talk race at Insanity sometime in October. The dates also conflict with 2 other large events. The BKlassic in Arizona and the Jconcepts INS race in Indiana. All it does is reduce turnout to all of them. But it sounds like AE didn't have much choice with the dates for the venue.
Even if I were closer, $150 per class ain't happening.

It'd be triple that for me. I'd have to run the least 3 classes to make it worthwhile.

Haha, yessir. It is a bit of a cluster all around that place. Should be a fun event!
