MrLexan's got a great point but does anyone else find it difficult to get that "I'm still a teenager and invincible" feeling out of their head, I guess it's just a self denial thing going on
Scr8p you seriously need to be taking some time out to relax and get sorted, get well soon and keep us posted.

Got flung over the bars while riding the mountain bike yesterday, seems to take a bit longer to brush off and get back in the saddle than it used to.

I never said all that stuff would make you heal as quick as when you were a kid, but I almost guarantee it makes the inqury less severe and might make it push the process along a bit quicker.
My eye opening event happened back in 2000 and ever since I haven't looked back when it comes to changing my lifestyle. I still have issues here and there, and I imagine they will start becoming more frequent as I get older. And yeah the pain lasts longer than it used too, BUT I have never felt better.

I've never felt like a teenager, even when I was one. I've always felt in my 20's, until I crested the 40 year mark, now I feel like I'm in my 30's. The biggest difference I've noticed is the lack of fitness. Once I traded in my carpenter bags for this blue collared shirt, I'm just not as active. I've not gained any weight, just lost strength from being glued to a chair and computer all day.
Can somebody pass the beer and potato chips? Please.

Re: along came a spider...................
I'm in agreement with MrL on this one, i boxed for 12 years and was pretty fit, and during that time i had (or it felt like i had) less illnesses and injuries. I stopped it when i hit 30 and had kids and i swear the 2 years afterwards were blighted with niggling back injuries, a recurring broken toe, a trapped nerve and every illness bar leprosy (well, maybe not every illness). I figured it was time to get fit again and lo and behold my body has held up pretty well of late. it's worth a try for anyone i'd say.

I'm at the gym three days a week and there's still no improvement. How long do you have to watch other people working out before you start seeing the benefits?

What do you eat and how many times a day do you eat? Portion size? What are you objectives? Bulking up? or Losing Weight? Do you mix in any cardio?
