For an actual srt it's easiest to use the websiteTeam Blue Eagle wrote: ↑Sun Nov 24, 2024 6:15 pm I have an original SRT who is this jeff you get the parts from ?
What parts do you consider „not true SRT“ ? All of the non Traxxas parts, or only the „incorrect“ parts such as the gear box, rear bulkhead and connecting bridge?RC10th wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2024 12:21 am Thanks guys.
Even though they aren't a true SRT they are still a pretty fun truck to build and run. The original appeal of these kits for me was the fact that you could easily build one today and that parts are readily available, cheap, and the truck still has that vintage feel.
Yeah, basically the gearbox, motor plate/guard, rear bulkhead, and steering/geometry is different as well as a few minor details. It's probably more Rustler than SRT as the chassis is different and not interchangeable as far as I know. Most of the suspension components with the exception of the shocks should be the same thoughChewbacca wrote: ↑Tue Nov 26, 2024 12:18 pmWhat parts do you consider „not true SRT“ ? I’m going to have to check the excel Traxxas 2WD part list I made including all common parts, old parts that can be made out of newer ones and so on. ASFAIK the front suspension is the same as the original, rear arms and mounts as well.
Anyway really cool build and a darn close replica.
