So tempting, along with LWB mids, you finish your Detroit, I'll finish my Triumph, catch up somewhere and get them dirty.

Aero-disc wheels :D

I am curious to see how they handle the transmission. They might re-re the vaunted 23mm diff and original slipper, or they could just toss in the Pro transmission as part of the kit. Seems cheaper to just toss in the Pro. Schumacher re-re kits tend to be pretty true to the original, though. A case could be made for either decision.

Yeah, a couple of us Schumacher tragics have been having this discussion.... consensus at the moment is on Pro Trans included in the kit, along with ballraced steering and some different coloured parts (pan, trans sides).... but we've been wrong before!

I've been looking for a very clean Cougar 2 Works for awhile now with no luck. A rere may be my chance at actually owning one.

This makes me happy. Really happy. If-I-were-any-happier-I-could-poop-a-Twinkie happy.

Unlike you Retro RC, I don't already have 19 of these

From Schumacher's webpage:

The Cougar 2 Works was the ultimate development of the Schumacher aluminium pan chassis 2WD buggies of the late 80’s and early 90’s.

The Cougar 2 Works 'Classic' is a reproduction of this Iconic buggy, with subtle improvements to durability and battery fitting, for modern vintage racing.

It features an eye catching violet anodised chassis and motor plates. It includes high performance period option parts such as roller driveshafts, carbon fibre shock towers, ‘Works’ suspension geometry and low friction ‘Pro’ spec shock absorbers.

The Cougar 2 Works 'Classic' will be a stunning addition to any vintage buggy collection, and a potential race winner in the popular vintage buggy racing scene.

Good idea. I better buy 2. :D

This is bad for the folks who make a good living selling roller driveshafts on eBay, but good for the rest of us
