1/4" axle wheel options

Post by R6cowboy »

Searching for 1/4" axle wheels for mine and a friend's RC10 Team black pan cars. Besides JConcepts 1.7" wheels and JC Racing, are there any other options out there?

Convert to hex rear wheels. Traxxas 1/16 Revo wheels fit.

I'm fixing to put Kyosho Turbo Scorpion wheels on another but haven't confirmed track width yet.
Always looking for new and interesting ways to waste money.

Other than that, it's pretty much just older 2.0" NOS wheels that are a direct fit for 1/4" axles. You could also use yokomo 870c offset rear wheels with yokomo hubs. The seller "nocoast" on ebay has the hubs.

As suggested, mini e-revo wheels and FW 12mm hexes.

Or, JC Racing in the UK has direct fit 2.2 wheels for 1/4" axles. You can also use their deep offset Yokomo wheels with proper adapters.

There are Dhawk and Pargu aluminum wheel options. Also the option of converting to 3/16" with CVD axles.

IMO it depends if it's a runner or period correct shelfer. If the latter then AE TQ/CE/Worlds rears, HPI Super Stars, and a few others are available if you go hunting.

Thanks for all replies. Good to know of other available options out there. I know for mine, I'm really liking JC Racing's 5 star wheels for 1/4" axles.

Just be aware that they only come in narrow fronts.

JC Racing has a couple options, as well as Schumacher.

I did notice that and was planning on narrow fronts already. But thanks for pointing it out.
And happy birthday by the way.

Anyone know what size wheel the Schumacher "Full Spike" 1/10 Buggy Rear Tires fit, part # SCHT650?? Are these 2.2", or something else? I ask because Schumacher also has the "Full Spike" 2.2" 1/10 Buggy Rear Tires, part # SCHU6596.
