New Junior Two Project (Mutt)
Well here we have a Junior two I have been working on I think the JT doesnt get the respect it should its just as good of a car as the rest of the Losi Stable. So here is one the way they should have built it!! I started with a NOS chassis I won on EBay from Mr Lexan. then all other parts are Nos also this a all new build. full RPM arms, Bumper, Rod ends, Lunsford turnbuckels, 2.61:1 Retofit Trans with Double sided slipper that moves the gear ratio to keep up with the newer cars. XX wheels their close to the stock ones and Tires easer to find and I couldnt find a rear set of stock ones still looking. XX dogbones, and XX body on the way I still need to find front shocks and a few odds an ends but its almost done. I used Pro Se shock towers I dont like the flimsy junior two ones but I might still replace them with Jrx 2 or Pro ones closer to stock and not plastic not sure what to do. What do you think?

Re: New Junior Two Project (Mutt)
i like the Pro se shock towers the only problem i found with them is that finding a body that fits the rear mount is hard unless you hack it up like i did. the buggy retrofit tranny is 2:19:1 and the stock junior tranny is 2:18:1 and it might give you a better final ratio the truck retrofit is the 2:61:1 but it might work just as good you will just have to gear up for a high ratio? The versatility of these cars is endless

Re: New Junior Two Project (Mutt)
ya know..................... don't piss and moan about it. you made like 10 posts a couple days back in the span around 20 minutes, or something like that. it got you up to 25 posts, and.... BOOM, your asking for bst access. then, the admin you e-mail through ebay, he sees that you've only been an ebay memeber for 2 months and have 1 feedback. hardly enough feedback for us to get an idea of the type of buyer/seller you are.Inspector Gadget wrote:well i was turned down for the BST yesterday i guess they thought i was padding my post(i was just doing what some one told me to do, guess that was stupid) and they said i was quite since i hit 25 post BUT some poeple have jobs, SO here are some meaningful post.
you only have a couple more days to go until you've been a memeber of the forum for a month. sit tight, be patient, and keep posting stuff that doesn't only included "nice car", or "looks good". even if it is/does.
that's exactly right.Inspector Gadget wrote:Oh well, there just protecting us i shouldn't be mad

not trying to be smart, but you could be listing that stuff on ebay if you need to get rid of it. it'd get your feedback rating up.Inspector Gadget wrote: i just have alot of RC10 stuff i need to get rid of
Re: New Junior Two Project (Mutt)
anyway, back on topic, Nice jr2. How is the front end with the xx spindles? does it get any funky bumpsteer? I always had problems cracking those 5 spoke front wheels, but they looked so cool! it's a really well thought out build there bearrickster

I think the car is nice, I'd rather have used white RPM ballcups but that's just me. I think you don't have the correct offset with those wheels, especially on the front drive train...

I have them on my Pro se also they work fine I am not sure I know what bumpsteer is? so I dont know? the only problem is it pushes in the corners you have to turn with the brake.trx1racer wrote:anyway, back on topic, Nice jr2. Re: New Junior Two Project (Mutt)
I went with the truck trans because it put the Ratio even with the new B4 it has a 2.60:1 trans. I havent tryed it yet we will see I wont be running this car but I run the Sh*t out of my Pro Se with a brushless its funny it comes down the straight a way with the Tires blowing off the rims. its almost uncontroleable. but its FASTInspector Gadget wrote:i like the Pro se shock towers the only problem i found with them is that finding a body that fits the rear mount is hard unless you hack it up like i did. the buggy retrofit tranny is 2:19:1 and the stock junior tranny is 2:18:1 and it might give you a better final ratio the truck retrofit is the 2:61:1 but it might work just as good you will just have to gear up for a high ratio? Re: New Junior Two Project (Mutt)
Hey Rick,
Nice car...I'm glad to see that you didn't sell all of your lois cars. I actually like the junior 2 chassis better than the pro SE...stiffer, and it still allows the use of the 5 link suspension.
If the purple rod ends begin to bother you too much, you can always dye them amd replace the spur gear with the 86 tooth (red).
As far as the offset, the XX wheels do have slightly more negative offset, so the result is that you car's overall width is narrower than a stock jr. The way to fix this is to use a pair of RPM jrxt arms (slightly longer than the stock losi). This will bring everything back to specification when using the XX front blocks and spindles.
hope this helps...
Regards,
highwayracer
