Next Re-Release
Anyone with or without any insider info like to speculate on whether Schumacher will continue with the rere's, and what will their next one be...?
I would like to see the Daytona or the CAT 3000

Re: Next Re-Release
Same, Cougar 2 and Bosscat would be my choices/guesses.
I wouldn't mind seeing a Shotgun/Storm before the ali-pan 2WD series is concluded, though. The market probably isn't there to justify releasing a truck, but they could do an old school race truck conversion kit for the Cougar Classic. Seems like an easy way to sell more Cougars and make some easy money.
I tried to pry a hint out of Schumacher by saying I was anxious to build something vintage and asking if they saw any reason for me to "wait a bit", but all I got was a reminder that they have the Cougar and ProCat available.

You'd think that, but..... as someone who has a few Daytonas, and could possibly put one up for sale at some stage in the future, I have selfish reasons for not seeing a re-release

I also don't see the Cat 3000 as a possibility, as it just doesn't have the following (and some would say, pedigree) to justify the expense of a re-release.
I would expect possibly a Cat 2000, probably in EC form, as an xxxx Years celebration of the European Championship victory. Failing that, a Cougar 2 (with very minimal changes from the Cougar Classic), or a Shotgun / Storm truck, if they can sort out a relatable body.
Then again, Schumacher could pull a rabbit out of a hat, and do a Wildcat Mini and/or Vyper.... they would be cheap, easy to produce (so few parts), they're still popular to this day at Iconic events, and Schumacher would own the body molds.
Of course, that's just my 0.17 (two cents, with cost-of-living pressures)....

In all likelihood, I don't see a Daytona re-re as a possibility - I can't see Thunder Tiger allowing the use of the 10L front end parts this time around, even if Team ASSociated do a 10L re-release.

Go on then, what say does TT have in whether or not someone uses 10L parts...?

Re: Next Re-Release
Thunder Tiger owns ASSociated, so they would have final say in a) producing 10L front end parts for a Team ASS RC10L re-re; and b) whether they would allow another manufacturer wholesale use of their 10L front end parts for the other manufacturer to make money off.ILoveMyCATS wrote: ↑Sat Aug 31, 2024 12:34 pm Go on then, what say does TT have in whether or not someone uses 10L parts...?
It could happen..... but I do doubt it.
