ReRe conversion with 'modern' parts from Cliff Lett tribute
Got my ReRe 10T, and since I shouldnt run my Cliff Lett tribute with the new parts, Im just going to restore it to shelf status and put the new bits on the ReRe for running. I did order some FT titanium turnbuckles, all in one Rx and ESC, more decals etc. Also will try the Radon 2 17T brushed from AE until I can try Factory Works motor, which will compliment the carbon bits i have. Already have the 'modern' decaled body painted, not sure what I will do with the ReRe bodys paint scheme.

Swapped parts out and restored the OG truck back to running shelf queen. The new kit build begins...

Re: ReRe conversion with 'modern' parts from Cliff Lett tribute
Alot of progress, just need to start on differential and rest of electronics. One thing Ive found is, the E clips in the ReRe are shiney steel vs the old black. Whereas these would be easier to see vs the black, they are much slipperier than the texture of the OG E clips.
So far everything is lining up fine, will see once i get to the transmission. I will need to order some 1/4 x/3/8 unflanged bearings and stock up. I need to put the original style rear hub carriers on the Cliff tribute, which will free up the bearing setups i use with the CVDs. Flanged outer with unflanged inner allows no shims needed.

Re: ReRe conversion with 'modern' parts from Cliff Lett tribute
Finished the rere, quick run on the original road hawg? Tires I raced on carpet bitd. No foam inside, so no traction and it slid a lot on driveway. 17t radon with 23 pinion, b4 spur. Battery was only 7.6v or so. I do have several bags unopened, with other new parts since I didn't use them. Not sure what scheme I will do with the RERE body thats still clear. May do a blend of Jconcepts (find a painter) or a blend of the team truck colors and cow scheme. Need to buy another set of tires for the local indoor track, as the set I have is for the T4.2 FT I have.
Regarding the manual, Im glad I still had my original, 1991/92 manual, as it was more in depth that the RERE manual. Even tho I knew what went where, including grease, theres no mention of where to put the grease and how to set the diff. I could see alot of questions from those this being their first at a classic/RERE diff. Fitment of components, esp the stealth diff, was good to great. No real issues. Even with the older 'upgrade' type parts i have to include the B4 shaft.
