This MRC ad from 1999 shows a pair of new vehicles introduced that year...
First is the Q-Tee Coupe, a 1/10th scale belt driven four-wheel drive street rod built on a double deck fiberglass chassis with fully adjustable suspension on all four corners. Sporting fiberglass shock towers and oil filled plastic shocks, provisions for a stick battery as well as chassis cutouts for saddle packs the Q-Tee came complete with a 20 turn 540 motor and three step mechanical speed controller with reverse.
Then there's the SP3 Extreme, an entry level 1/12th scale on-road race car that uses a molded plastic plate style chassis with independent front suspension and t-bar style rear with a coil over friction shock. Electronics included with the kit were a 3-step mechanical speed controller with reverse connected to a 380 size motor, though the plastic rear pod allowed room to mount a 540 sized motor.
