Was able to get a brand new Kyosho Fazer MK2 Fleetside, offered the eBay seller $210, and he took it. I always look for auctions with Make an Offer, good deals to be had out there.
Now to find a couple more used cheap chassis's.

Well, I think you've made an excellent choice.
Just yesterday, I had the TT-01 based Porsche 993 and Fazer El Camino out on a local parking lot. Despite the TT-01's modifications to improve handling vs. the Fazer's box-stock configuration, the difference was like night and day. The TT wanders while the Fazer is stable and predictable. Overall, the Fazer is the best handling on-road car I've ever driven.
I have the Losi V100 as well and it isn't bad but it's slower than the Fazer and the RTR servo is junk.
I've never driven an RS4 but I read that they handle very well.
Anyway, those wheels and tires should look great on your Vette. Be aware that they use a different inner and outer diameter (like short course truck wheels) so replacement non Kyosho branded tires might be hard to find.

I think you picked up a solid car. I picked up a used Fazer '69 Z28 Camaro quite awhile back, but haven't done anything with it. The usual "one day..............."

Really glad to hear your takes on this one, guys, thanks!
I also noticed in the videos how every Kyosho Fazer seemed perfect out of the box, they all seemed to do 25mph, and perfect alignment.
If I were going to run the Kyosho body, and not the custom vette, the Bel Air with the lights in it looks pretty great.

Sweet score!
I wonder how that Fleetside body would look on one of your monster trucks....

Got the Fleetside today.

The wheelbase is too long at 10.8" on the FZ02L for this HPI '67 Vette body.

Lowered.

Vintage Kyosho USA-1 Nitro Crusher loosely wearing the Fleetside body.

Bolink '63 vette body fits really well, haven't cut the wheel wells yet.

Bummed about the HPI vette body not fitting, will find another chassis for it.

The Fleetside uses the Fazer FZ02L chassis (long wheelbase 274mm, 10.78"). You can swap that to a FZ02 chassis (shorter 260mm wb, 10.24") pretty easy with just a chassis and driveshaft274 replacement. Parts are just about $40. If just shortening 1/2" looks like it will work for that body, it may be worth looking into.

Was looking at the FZ02S small chassis, and the shorter drive line to go with it, would work for the HPI body.
Thinking this chassis might make a good tribute to the RC Corvette in The Dead Pool.

It doesn't look too bad with the FZ02L and the Bolink '63 vette.

I'll finish the aluminum paint brush work on the window frames, and then spray over it in Tamiya black and tint the windows, depending on how it comes out, I'll figure out what to do with the chassis.

Quick 'n Dirty... 'cause monster trucks need liveries!
The Monster DEW:
Bummer on the 'vette wheelbases, but at least the chassis/shaft to shorten it aren't expensive if you decided to.

Very nice, I like it! Much better than this one.

I might go with the C10 body on the USA-1, doesn't work on the GT as well.

That's a whole lot of pink. Reminds me of watermelon flavored Bubble Yum more than Mountain Dew
Could see the USA-1 being a better match. The extra height and all. Looks cool on the chassis... even when it doesn't have the snazzy graphics

The new HPI '67 vette body does fit the FZ02L chassis if the wheel wells were widened.

The body above will go on another chassis closer to the 10 1/2" wheelbase it needs.
Looking at a used Team Associated Apex2 with 10.2" wheelbase.
