My losi XX restoration project
My losi XX restoration project
Hello I have recently received a losi XX, This is my first real vintage buggy and I have putting many hours of work into this to make this as close to my Dads 1998 reedy race winning buggy I have already replace all the screws and ball studs with Lunsford titanium and any feedback on what to do next would be greatly appreciated!

Re: My losi XX restoration project
Are there any pictures of the 1998 buggy you are wanting to duplicate?

Are you looking to restore it for running or the shelf ? Do you want it as if it was new, or like it was raced?Coop wrote: ↑Fri Dec 08, 2023 8:54 am Hello I have recently received a losi XX, This is my first real vintage buggy and I have putting many hours of work into this to make this as close to my Dads 1998 reedy race winning buggy I have already replace all the screws and ball studs with Lunsford titanium and any feedback on what to do next would be greatly appreciated!IMG_3065.jpeg

I’m gonna convert it to a runner and hopefully take it racing It doesn’t really matter the condition as long as it makes me happy
Re: My losi XX restoration project
Update the person I got this from thought it would be a good idea to glue the hydradrive together so I have to order that but in other news I have rebuilt the transmission with associated carbide balls and stealth transmission grease

Re: My losi XX restoration project
Gluing the hydradrive together sounds like destroying the hydradrive. What would be the purpose of that? To make it so it can't slip?
