I'm fairly sure this is a 6 gear car (I don't know the number) I've had a look and compared it with the pictures on the AE web site but if anyone can confirm it that would be great. I got it from a UK seller on ebay and paid over the top (some you win) I think but I at least it didn't have to run the customs gauntlet. The white parts are not too bad and I have a NIP chassis (unfortunately drilled for stealth and 6 gear), motor mount and rear shock bodies for it, I could do with a nose plate though (I will put that request in the trade area). How obvious is it that I’m a novice at this
Any help/comments are much apreciated

its a 6gear with a later championship edition tub.
its either a first gen 6010 or a 6016 depending on if it came with bearings. another easy way to spot a first gen rc10 is the narrow front arms. either the tub was changed or the entire car was assembled from first gen parts put on a later stealth edition tub. everything else besides the tub looks to be from the 6010 kit. all first gen rc10s used the protech 1 body, which is the one you have in the bag. the sidewinder body thats trimmed and on the car now came out a little later.
the 6 gear name comes from the tranny, which houses 6 internal gears as opposed the the stealth which cut it down to 3.

Thanks badhoopty, this is the only way to learn , it’s plane bushed on the front wheels and the box too I think so a 6010 it must be. Thanks for looking Chewbacca.
