While I have no problem with Smirnoff vodka, I highly recommend that you try Tito's.

I have had it, good stuff.... unfortunately its out of my price range...Thumbs can afford it tho....I just nip on the smirnoff occasionally straight from the bottle so it will last longer

Just waiting on new springs for the front shocks to get rid of the adjusters, these springs are too short (front end will ride higher)...the shocks are Tamiya HiCaps

Very cool! Nicely executed build.

Is that a Schumacher Cat body?

Tito's is out of your price range, but you build badass stuff like this...???

Don't mean to sidetrack, but once I tried Titos, Smirnoff was ruined for me. Only time I can get Smirnoff is if I'm making some fruity foofoo jungle punch for the wife and friends during the summer. We discovered a handle of Titos at the Costco is nearly the same price as a 750 at the liquor store. Not to mention, they have a surprisingly good scotch there too.

Right after you entered this in the BOM comp I spotted something that I just can't unsee , now you've won and rightly so I can say it not as sour grapes during the comp , the front belt tensioner is on the pull side of the belt not the slack side , this causes more drag , its an awesome build but this has been killing me ever since I noticed it :(

Interesting. I personally don't know enough about belt drive to know that one side of the belt loop is preferred to the other. This will come in handy in the future.

You are correct on the tensioner. However sometimes aesthetics must take a back seat to function. There were major clearance issues where the belt went thru and doing it this way made for a tidier compact install. I drove the car today. And it is amazing. Drives very predictable and planted. And winds up super high on the top end. If fact. If we could go back to 1987 in Romsey England to the ifmars, with either of us driving this car today, we could have won the title.

I totally get why it had to be done and if it runs well then it's better than any period RC10 4WD conversion and it's done with period parts , a totally plausible "what if" car :!:

Some video of this running last weekend. Drove real nice. It would be great to see it on a real track. I think it would be extremely competitive.
