Losi A1601 v A1602

Post by Cplus »

Hi,

I’m rebuilding a couple of XX’s - one an OG Kinwald and one a Bitsa mix.

I’ve noticed the kinwald reverted to part number a1601 for steering - but in natural not grey plastic.

I’m trying to work out what is the actual difference between 1601 and 1602 - is there a geometry difference? Is it easy to tell?

From quick visual without being side to side, difficult to tell. And looking at Images of them NIP - yeah, also hard to see.

Anyone know for sure?

I think I’ve spotted it now - ballstuds further apart on the 1601, so slight change in Ackerman. Is that it?.

Cool! It is always good seeing the part variations.

I’ve been watching eBay for 1601/1602 trees.

Seems this subtle difference confuses a lot of sellers too.

Looking at a good number of the out of packet trees or loose parts it seems many have listed as 1602 what is actually 1601 parts.
