losi xxx . first ever losi

well am sure you have all been there surfing the ebay ... well came across this losi xxx with box and loads of spears unpainted body and a ton of wheels think they are from different buggy ... really impressed with this buggy think just going to tear down clean and rebuild and light running give me something to do on cold dark winters nights .. some pictures .. this is my first ever losi so any advice for a newbie ...

ps/ just need find hiding place for it before the wifey gets home from work ..

Great find, I've got a couple of these, but the Brian kinwald version with graphite bits and blue wheels. They drive really well and there's plenty of spares still available on fleabay or in stock at you local rc shop. I've got a brushless set up with lipo in mine and it flys! I've had it out on the local indoor carpet racetrack as well, and it's still competitive, and there's plenty of ability to tune the set up to help you get that apex!

It looks like you've got enough tyres and wheels to last you some time. You've also got some spares for the losi xx in that lot as well. The front shock towers (which you seem to have a few) are from the losi xx (CR). The front arms, metal rear guard and the wing buttons are also for a losi xx. If you're in the uk and are planning on running it, I can dig out some spare used front and rear arms which are either standard or the ea3 (losi's version of a tougher plastic) which I won't be using. If you're interested feel free to pm me, and I could probably make you on offer for some of those xx parts.

thanks Proc1973. yes im in the uk Newcastle .. thank you for pointing out to me the xx parts i wasnt sure what they were for have 3 front shock towers and a carbon 1 not sure if its for a xx cr ? i was hoping to find some graphite front arms to go with the new rear pear that came in the box ..

iv just ordered a new graphite chassis from fliebay should arrive today with the postman .. am really looking forward to restoring this buggy and getting her running i was pleasantly surprised how nice this buggy is .

i just got a rere rc10 worlds and this losi xxx feels more solid and better made even after all these years have past ..

i will have a better sort out the parts and take some pictures and send to you . if they is something you think you might want we can sort something out be happy to help ...

was thinking going oldschool with a brushed motor and esc setup maybe something from around the same time age as the buggy just to keep her vintage ish not sure its vintage just e yet ..

let me dig through my parts box, because I might have a brushed set up that came out of one of my xxx's. so it should be period correct. i'll pm you with some pics
