Re: kyosho lazer
Looks pretty good my man, any body-off shots?
If you're going to run it, I would switch out the aluminum shock towers, they'll bend at the first sign of a light breeze
I think I've got a good pair of shock towers I could send your way if you'd like. Let me know if you're interested. I'll post some pics when I get home.

Looks very professional. Nice paintscheme and well chosen body.
With the modern shocks wheels and rubber it will throw up lots of dust. Action pics next!

Hmm...I like it. I was thinking of getting a repro Optima Mid body for my mid, but I kinda like the way this looks better. What to do.

Re: kyosho lazer
Tulsa,
Nice car, the body looks great. Which lazer is that? I just picked up a lazer and I'm not sure which one it is. It has the aluminum towers, so I'm guessing mine is the ZX.

Re: kyosho lazer
The ZX has the black anodised towers, like the photos above. If the towers are silver but the same shape as those above then it's a ZX-Sport. You''l know if you've got a ZX-Sport because it's the only one with the moulded plastic chassis which has the torsional stiffness of chewing gum.

Re: kyosho lazer
Thanks Terry,
Then I'm pretty sure that I have the regular Lazer ZX. From my 93ish kyosho catalog, it looks like the ZX came with the gold shocks. Were the front shocks the standard short Kyosho golds? Mine came with the teflon associated team shocks...so, I'll be replacing those with the correct shock setup.
regards,
highwayracer

Re: kyosho lazer
Yes, the ZX came with the short front and long rear gold shocks, the same shocks that were used on the Optima Mid. If anyone needs help identifying which Lazer is which I wrote a handy guide herehighwayracer wrote:From my 93ish kyosho catalog, it looks like the ZX came with the gold shocks.
