Tamiya Sand scorcher ball diff

Hello . I am getting ready to assemble a sand scorcher kit. Any comments on is it worth installing the ball diff upgrade #54897. Thanks.

Really depends on where you intend to run it.

If it's on the beach or any thing loose probably better without the diff. especailly if you want rooster tails.

If on hard surfaces, tarmac etc the diff will help reduce it rolling as much and hopefully reduce body damage!!

as above , it works on hard surfaces but they tend to come loose as the adjustment is not on a nylock nut as usual but has a screw with dry locktight , you need additional locktight on the screw or it works loose and you loose drive .
If a jobs not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well.
A problem shared is a problem halved but an advantage shared is no advantage at all.
