Re: Building a brushless RC10GT
Since this truck was recently brought to my attention this was the 550 motor I originally wanted to use. A fairly low revving torque monster that could handle boost and turbo.
I remember now that it didn't fit due to the ribs on the motor.

Re: Building a brushless RC10GT
Welp I'm on to another project.
One many have done before me.
For any wanting to add a VTS to their vintage setup or build an
RC10GTE RC10EGT brushless conversion I have that one down now.
Picked this up on the FleaBay for the buck 09 without a motor
(One of yous prolly sold it to me)
Added thingz:
Brushless Motor Mount:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/324896833523?hash=item4ba55c3ff3:g:ZUcAAOSwnCFaJIie
Top Shaft: B4 (Had to add inside spacers)
https://www.avidrc.com/product/5/accessories/3506/Associated-Aluminum-Topshaft-B4-Stealth-AV10062-accessories.html
Associated VTS v2: Lucked out at local Hobby Shop Part #91175
Replaced Stripped Screws
Rebuilt the transmission: New Bearings, New Outdrives (Again Lucked out at the ole hobby shop 14 bucks hehe)
Still a whole lot more I want to do but I'm already over budget this month.
If anyone has some RPM front A Arms I'm a lookin'
Going to add:
Battery Tray and shorties. (Still trying to solve placement issues)
Titanium Turnbuckles
Full top brace for Transmission
Carbon Fiber sterff
Probably upgrade the shocks (Any suggestions? V2? Big Bore?)
Hub replacement? B4? T4? for Hex hubs?
Still without a Transmitter and using the old FM gear while i hunt. (Been out of it awhile n i don't really race)
In the mean time I'm hacking a broken Futaba Magnum and building an Arduino Remote into it.
Still having a lot of fun following everyone's builds and projects.
Lot's of project inspirations here.
