I just joined the RC10Talk Facebook group , never really used the book of many faces before other than to look at some photo's that are not posted elsewhere by a member of a WW2 Airsoft forum , I'm so ignorant of how it works my wife had to point out to me that people had wished me happy birthday as I never even considered looking .
So I guess I've got to ask , what do I use it for ? should I post builds up and is there a proper section to post them ? Is there a classified section ?
Help I'm so far behind with this that its almost embarrassing to ask
If a jobs not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well.
A problem shared is a problem halved but an advantage shared is no advantage at all.
I envy those that aren’t forced to be on Facebook all day. If it weren’t a source of customers I’d have quit it a long time ago.
How you use it is more dependent on you. If you want your family and friends to be able to see your builds, that’s a good place for them. I tend to keep my Facebook page for less RC and more personal stuff like our cutting down of some trees last week or complaining about politics You can post your builds and such over on the 10talk group in Facebook and that way your friends and family don’t think you play with toy cars . It’s an extension of the website, it would never replace what we have here but there is much more foot traffic there for sure.
It's time to stand up to the bully. Support the companies that support the industry, not the ones that tear it down. Say no to Traxxas Factory Works website
Glad I’m not the only one that has no idea about face book, but your a step ahead i me I still don’t have a Facebook account.
My wife tells me I a stupid old bugger that’s missing out on a heap of stuff….. but really how many cat videos can you watch in a day

No facebook. I know I am missing some opportunities maybe on some vintage RC porn etc. But I am stubborn on some points and am never joining facebook. Never. Big Brother already knows too much about me for my liking and it's just one of those things. Not for me. I guess there is some cool stuff going on but imo, it's just a facade that people bullsh*t other people from and often times, themselves. I guess I am just thankful that I haven't HAD to do it yet. Alot of stuff is just only on facebook.
I have a friend who works counter terrorism , he's not a door kicker on the front line but from what little he will talk about it he goes through captured computers to find out what they are up to , nobody in his family are on Facebook He says it's the best and quickest way to get your identity stolen . I guess that's put me off more than a little as well .

Facebook sucks so you're not missing much. If you have something that doesn't align with the F-book agenda you get suspended but thats the fun part. Personally, I've dropped way off and only use it for the marketplace/auction sites. Got more groups than you can imagine to keep up with so its best to just find what you are interested in and just keep it simple.
Got a few slot cars and rc tires heading my way from the weekend but otherwise its just a big old classified ad for what you want.
Good luck.
Just a heads up about the posting projects. Not much there for being able to go back to find if you are wanting to revisit anything but its a sure way to see some stuff even if its just once and gone.

Peace and professionlism.....Kabunga signing off!!!
3 part question here but first a little back story.
Purchased a RC10T in great condition, installed new electronics (Orion R10/13.5t). And I'm wondering about a few things.
1. Performance. I was underwhelmed by the acceleration. Wondering if I can...

I run around a 10t motor in mine, it's rated at 4600kv, and it frickin hauls.
Yes you can run the B4 top shaft and slipper assembly. I converted my 1992 10T to this configuration. Glad I did, because I also found out there were bushings in the...

So I don't remember PM's having to linger in my outbox before being sent. They used to just fire right off. Now I get a Successfully Submitted message and they stack up in my outbox and don't show up in my sent box. Anybody else?
Thanks

Please excuse but I`ve a dumb question about the black RC10GT chassis #7525.
I`ve just won a ebay auction and received the car. The chassis looks nice but it is angeled after 2/3 behind the front end. It looks if the car had low time on a track but...

Looks like a good start
Chassis are still around and not too spendy if it's for the shelf
My Kyosho knowledge aside from the monster trucks is severely lacking. Having built the re-re Scorpion and Optima, I'm very impressed. Far different from my plastic Tamiyas. Anyway, can someone elaborate on the performance differences between the...

The original Optima wasn't such a poor-handling car as some would suggest; it was a game-changer for its time. On some track conditions, it did very well due to its lightweight frame-rail chassis and excellent suspension.
