Craig's List Score Back to Old Friend RC10T Need Parts!!

Post by BohemianBabyDev »

Picked up this beauty on Crags list with a bunch of extra wheels and motors for around $135.
Loved my 10T back in the early 90's.
Came with a few Futaba Magnum radios as well.
Charged the oldazz batteries and whoosh they work!

Ordered a Reedy Sonic 17.5t and a Quickrun 120A ESC to convert.
Ordered new bearings
However will probably need
Slipper n An extra Dif
ball cups and arms
dogbones w springs
Shock o rings n parts
suspension arms in case one breaks.

Is there a place that sells upgrades? 3D print?
I don't mind if it's not stock for a bit of lot bashing.

Some of those parts are easy to get
ball cups
you can get the rpm ones or the custom works ones
https://www.customworksrc.com/product/small-ball-cup/
the shock o-rings are still made
https://www.associatedelectrics.com/teamassociated/parts/details/5407-ASC5407-o-rings_red_silicone/

Most of the rest will come from e-bay. Basically each part is going to cost $10-20.

Few places are making hop-up or options parts for the original cars are
factory works
http://www.factoryworks.com/
They have chassis upgrades, shock towers, battery holders, and steering upgrades.
Lunsford makes titanium turnbuckles
J-Concepts and team blue groove (TBG) make bodies
RPM makes a few parts like a nice gear cover.

Dhawk makes a few aluminum pieces that can be used on the rc10T

I'd love to see what you do with it. As a basher the 10T is super capable right out of the box and the one you have looks to be excellent shape. One thing I have added to mine is a crp bumper to help reduce part breakage.

For quality of life changes I drilled holes in the chassis a it further out to hold a lipo. As well I run a slimmer lipo battery. I use the worlds car battery hold down.
Team Associated 6339 RC10 Worlds Fiberglass Battery Strap RC10WC WC Kit(factory works makes a new one)
and the factory team thumb screws ASC1787 Team Associated Factory Team Battery Strap Thumbscrew
That has made the battery fit well, and stay put when jumping.

I think some of the wisdom here is that the old white nylon needs to be hydrated by soaking in water. The plastic bits dry out over time, soaking them for a few days beings them back to life.
