JRXT build, kinda

Post by mikesofunny »

The old "I'll make this pile of parts into a truck for next to nothing" scheme

But it never goes that way, found some old RPM JRXT conversion arms and well, then it starts (dremel used to make e-clip grooves)

A little metal restoration/bluing (Ended up only using the drive cups & axles from this batch)

Used XXX aluminum dogbones, along with some axle spacers mounted inboard to make them work

Shorter arms means shorter turnbuckles, fortunately Lunsford still makes retro turnbuckles!

The truck as it sits. I think it's a Composite Craft chassis, used a Sabula Tech blue screw kit, Old RC carbon towers, some Pro-Line LXT wheels & a JRXT body painted by Andy Jacobson (the reason for the build was basically to display the wheels/body)

Short RPM rod ends in the mail for the steering link, and these old electronics are going in soon. What do I do with 32" of antenna though!?

Beautiful truck! I've had many creative memories tied up in receiver wires.
