White arm GT
I have an original restored black arm RC10GT (black pan)....are those more generic than the white arm models?

Re: White arm GT
In general, white arm trucks are less common. Since the GT came later, it reasons that there were even less of them.
I also think that the white arms just weren't as strong as the newer versions, likely leading them to be replaced. Its not like the white arms were anything special back then, the new ones were simply better.
Of the four 10T trucks that I have, only one has white arms. And I got those white arms in a parts lot on ebay.

Always looking for new and interesting ways to waste money.

Re: White arm GT
As stated, real white arm trucks are not as common. The arms were the first things to be switched to the black nylon very soon after the release of the GT. Then the other parts slowly became black as well. Then the arms switched to the T2 style which yours are. I don’t know the exact timelines but your truck is basically the last rendition before they switched to the blue pan Trucks. I wouldn’t call it generic. Just a sport model.

Re: White arm GT
I believe that the GT was produced when the white parts supply were transitioning to black parts. As my purchases of three GTs all were different and all close in production date.
I purchased my first GT in early 94 for pullstart engine. The first batch of GT's were sold out and i had to wait for the second bath to arrive to our local hobby shop. It had a mix of white and black parts. Arms, tranny, tranny brace, suspension mounts, rear battery/bumper guard, front bumper were black. The front and rear servo mounts, three piece screw together wheels, tie rode ends and front plastic nose brace were white. The wheels came with associated tires. Oh and VHS video
I manage to purchase an 93 all white parts GT about 8 years ago...it has the light fiberglass shock towers, and every part from front to rear was white. It was the bushing equipped kit and made for pullstart engines with the gold shocks. The wheels are the 2.2 white three piece screw together kind but it was also equipped with the narrow buggy style three piece screw together front wheels. both style of wheels came with associated tires. I should say that now that all the white parts are more like yellow, lol. Didnt get a VHS video in this purchase as it was used.
I also have a 93 new in box GT #7072 with pullstart OS engine (silver brick head). Being a 93 you'd expect a few white parts but that's not the case. The sealed bags contain all black parts. The funny thing is that it comes with one piece bright yellow wheels and proline tires not the regular three piece white units. The box still has the VHS video
Hope this helps

Re: White arm GT
i have been slowly swapping all the white parts (that fit) from my rc10 team truck onto my GT. i think it just looks nicer with the white parts. the team truck arms , if you can find them, are pretty solid too!
