mounting wing on rear shock tower?
i've seen some pics where the rear wing is mounted on the shock tower instead of using the aluminum tubes. the metal wire from the wing is put into a small metal piece that screwed into one of the shock mounts and held in place by a little set screw. this look really good b/c the wing doesn't have to be removed to take the body off. where can i get some of those wing mounts?

The old school parts were Bud's Bullet Mounts and Yokomo wing mounts, both of which are kinda tough to find. Trinity makes something similar and is available through Tower Hobby or you can make something similar with Aluminum tube stock.

This is the BRP bullet wing mounts as I have been schooled. I think there might be 1 set left - may be worth a try anyway.

Yes, it's a great way to mount your rear wing. The set screws clamp down the wire so you can flip the car and it won't alter the rear wing any. It's much more of a robust way to mount a rear wing.

Tecnacraft also made a quick release set

They would be very hard to find though

Trinity also made some, and I think GPM still makes some.

soak 'em in EasyOff oven cleaner... Is that still the trick to remove anodizing?
