Kyosho Axis EX 1/12th pan car rare?
Beside some other cars, I found a Kyosho Axis EX 1/12th pan car in a box after laying more than 20 years in a shop.
It's this car for reference: http://rc-car-museum.de/kyosho-axis/
I was actually searching for other old pan cars like Delta and RC12i but I think now if it makes sense adding this to my small collection or not.
Is this car rare or desired to collect? I know the AYK pan cars very well but not the Kyosho pan cars.

I think all the Kyosho pan cars are rare these days.

Naw... you don't want that in your collection. You can send that old, dusty thing to me.

It looks to be a handful to dial in properly, anyone raced with this car?

Thanks for those pics guys.
Lovely car!
I'm running my mutilated Plazma 3P and enjoying it a lot. It was very hard to control at first but I got a long way in the right direction during the first race day.
It looks as if I could replace the Plazma gear diff with the ball diff unit from the Axis Ex... But the Axis Ex parts don't seem to be available anywhere.

I didn't race this car but I was told the main problem was the position and mounting of the side shocks. This was not a perfect solution and affected handling badly. But a super nice car for the shelf.Hcp22 wrote:It looks to be a handful to dial in properly, anyone raced with this car?
I don't think it's possible to use the Axis ball diff in a Plazma. The Plazma series used a 5mm rear axle where the Axis Ex seems to have used either a 6mm or 1/4" rear axle.

6mm would be fine. I have plenty 10X6 bearings. My only reason to do it would be to have more options for spur gears. the gear diff works fine but is already a bit worn.V12 wrote: I don't think it's possible to use the Axis ball diff in a Plazma. Maybe the phantom rerelease body will fit your requirements.
