Need help identifying 1/12th pan car (SG Gemini Slx)

Here is a question for the vintage 1/12th scale guys. Unfortunately I don't have much to go on but a few details. I have been trying to remember the brand/manufacturer of a 1/12th scale car that would have been out in the late 80's. I used to race with a small group of guys in Mankato, MN. We had use of a roller skating rink on Thursday nights in which we would roll out carpet and set up a track with plastic rain gutters. The skating rink had a small display case with a few cars for sale and one of them was a 1/12th scale car with a clear chassis. If I remember right it almost looked like lexan and I think it was formed up in the back to create the axle carrier. I don't believe it was a major brand at the time but a start up or small import company. I wanted one of those really bad but thinking back it was probably not a very great performer. Any thoughts on what this car was? Just thought I would throw out some trivia for the pan car guys.

someone posted a couple pics of the car your describing somewhere in the non-rc10 section. i can't remember off the top of my head the manufacturer, though.

That is a Schumacher XL 1/12th

WAY earlier than late 80s... that was a late 70s/early 80s design.

That car fits my description to a T. Another company must have copied the design though 10 years later as this was probably around 1988-1989 and they had just been released. Very similar design except a thicker chassis.

Anyway, thank you for the posts as that is exactly what I had described. I will try to search around for the later version and will post if I find anything.

I would like to thank Marui Hunter for finding the car I was trying to remember. It was an SG Gemini Slx. Looks almost identical to the Schumacher. There is one on ebay that ends in a few hours if anyone is interested.
