Re: Hornet sticker sheet
I would say new sticker sheets for a 35-year-old RC car would be anything but "readily available". Available perhaps, if you have the coin...

Completed projects: CYANide Onroad Optima | Zebra Gold Optima | Barney Optima | OptiMutt RWD Mid
Gallery - Coel's Stalls: Marui Galaxy & Shogun Resto-Mods | FrankenBuff AYK Buffalo | 1987 Buick GNX RC12L3

If you can't find NOS, MCI Racing has some good stuff:

Re: Hornet sticker sheet
Yes. The original sticker sheet will have decals from real sponsor companies like Hurst, Valvoline, KYB. It will also have the sticker for the guard over the resister.
The re-release stickers will have fake sponsors. The re-release also has silver stickers at the bottom for the roll bars around the windows. These were not on the original decal sheet.
Even if you find an original decal sheet, odds are it might not be usable. You best option is to contact MCIRACING and buy theirs. They are the best reproductions on the market.
Here is the original decal sheet.
