Re: MRP FAST CAT
Here's the first video. They're identical twins BTW so any talking is not him talking to himself... or maybe it is...
I'll post the others soon. The one of them hacking thru the ice is pretty funny. I couldn't get to my old account with my old vids in it. I think google took over since then and it doesn't seem to let me log in any other way...

Re: MRP FAST CAT
Meh, rice is easy so I may try tonight while it's cooking. It's real easy and I was posting them last night, but kept getting an error that they were already uploaded, but they weren't in my library to publish so I'm not sure what was happening. If nothing else I should be able to just rename the files and try again so youtube sees the files as just new videos.

Man, Youtube has some weird settings. I guess it makes sense if you use it more often...
Working on the ice video. It just kinda disappeared.

Re: MRP FAST CAT
wired a remote receiver control switch to a Traxxas EZ Start control box
I have a vintage conversion kit comin from ebay that supposdely allows any vintage O.S. .12-.18 engine to accept the EZStart...but its not here yet
Now i can start the engine and light the glow plug from a flip of a switch on the transmitter as seen in pic below. (3rd channel)
If the conversion kit works i will be running a vintage O.S CZ-2 .12 (circa 86') to drive both props....but waiting on some gears and a belt from overseas....gonna be awhile
the boat is about an 86' also so gonna be vintage!

Re: MRP FAST CAT
Got some gears comin stateside late Oct. to try instead of the belt. better efficiency anyway. i know me and o o e else wanted to wait ... i can tell by the overwhelming replys on this thread. trust me its gonna be classic. This boat was tied for my first r/c along with the Big Bear followed up by the Ultima, so its got serious roots. I remember watching Psycho lll in the basement of my ole mans and his ole ladies house till wee hrs of the morning....classic memories

Re: MRP FAST CAT
converted the vintage O.S. CZ-2 to marine duty....wasnt easy either. bought a .18 OS water cooled head but the button was about 3 mm too big to go onto the sleeve. i dont have a lathe or anything so i used a drill press to turn it down to fit. real tight compression! electric starter comin soon...waitn on parts
running and rc10gt 4 shoe clutch on this setup...i want the boat to sit in the water and not move while idling...i hate boats when the prop never stops turning. gonna dead hook this thing from a standing stop!
