Source for 2" rear tires

Post by Basher67 »

Anyone know a good source for readily available and reasonably priced 2" rear buggy tires? I'm looking for a set of 4 for an old Turbo Optima. I found the random pair on ebay, but no matching set of 4 and the prices were not always a deal. I have bought tires from Marwan and was happy with the results, but I'm looking for a cheaper and more readily available source if possible. Not too picky on tread pattern.

What I was originally looking for was some Schumacher full spikes in 2.0 size. My problem it seems was my search style. I was searching for 2" tires and I should have been searching for 2.0 tires. So I found someone on ebay selling a bunch of old eagle 8410's for $5 a pair and free shipping. Cant beat that for a set of new tires. Also, I had a new pair laying around, so for $5, my turbo Optima gets a new set of shoes. :D I dont know if these came on a vehicle or if they're just an aftermarket tire, but I like the big spike look on the old Kyosho's.

They look like a copy of the Tamiya Super Gripper Pin Spike tyres - number 15 on the list here: https://rctoymemories.com/2014/08/09/16-classic-vintage-rc-tyres/

For $5 a pair, you're certainly getting them cheaper than anything I can post from here.... hope those 1.9s fit properly on your 2.0 wheels....

I have masses of weird and wonderful tyres (like tires, but with the correct spelling 8) ), mostly in pairs out of packets, but as always, postage is a killer....

They definitely look like a copy of the old super grippers. They fit the turbo optima wheels perfectly.

In that case, win win! I keep finding tyres that are slightly too big for the wheels I want to use them on....

Here's some example of what I have sitting around doing nothing.... https://www.rctech.net/forum/australia-sale-trade/1031164-offroad-tyre-sale-modern-vintage.html

Of all that, managed to shift about three or four pairs  ... and 2.2" stuff, too
