Attack on Raiders

Post by heavy_gear »

hello, forum members

i like to showcase my project i have been working on a few weeks now,
i bought 2 raiders from a friend in belgium with some spare parts, and that meant i could complete
my own raider i still had!! i have parts for 3 raiders now, but im missing some gearbox parts for the third.
so that means 2 complete kyosho raiders up for restoration:

lots of parts!!

first delivery of red anodised aluminum parts

first test fit of all the metal parts, mounted the purple body and made some prep work to paint it.

Image

painted the body on the outside, this will be the body for now, till i find another one.
if anyone knows what other modern body"s will fit im glad to hear it!
thinking about making it a bit baja/desert truck like

Image

fitted electronics, used a programcard for the esc and turned it down to half power,
the lesson ive learned the hard way is ""old cars dont like brushless power""

currently working on number 2 raider, that will be titanium grey parts,
and maybe a grey-ish body.

if there is anything worth updating, i will let you know!

That red-black one is the first time I actually see a Raider that I think looks good

(sorry if I offended anyone  )

You need some cool red stickies to make it work with this... I'm thinking Kyosho Optima Mid Custom, assuming there aren't "mid custom" lettering splatted all over the place !
