best current option for new .71 and 1.32 shock set
There's a lot of older threads discussing this, but various parts have been discontinued over time. Anyone have recommendations for the best options for buying a new set of .71 / 1.32 set of shocks that actually match (or are close to matching aesthetically)? Do the 1.32 threaded RC10GT shocks work well on an RC10?
I'm wondering about these on the rear:

The only threaded .71 option are the V2's that came on the rere worlds car.
To match the bodies in your above link you would have to use .89 bodies from the b4 which requires a taller tower.

Jeff at Factory Works has the towers you need to run the longer shocks.

Related question - can anyone confirm if the older 1.32 gold shock body part number 6424 is interchangeable with the newer RC10 Classic 1.32 shock body part number 6446? They appear to be identical from what information I can find.

Yes and no, Associated messed up the part numbers: Vintage 6424 is 1.32" top load shock body, vintage 6446 is bottom load shock body; rere 6446 is top load shock body.strangersinspace wrote: ↑Sat Jul 07, 2018 9:51 pm Related question - can anyone confirm if the older 1.32 gold shock body part number 6424 is interchangeable with the newer RC10 Classic 1.32 shock body part number 6446? Top load and bottom load have different seal spacers and hardware, o-rings are the same. The rest of the shock parts are all interchangeable.
