i've wanted a rc10 since i was a kid and now that im 28 i finally got one. a guy that i work with had a couple rc's that someone left at his place and time to get rid of them. well im the new owner of a traxxas sledgehammer and a rc10 that needs to be identified. both for free and both rip.

not an expert and neglecting the fine art of gradual eveolution, but the first things that jump to mind; better longer shocks, larger diameter wheels and fitting rubber, stealth transmission, graphite shocktowers, wide front arms, universal-joints...
absolutely good deal . RUN IT!

Re: please tell me what i got myself into!
1. This was the most expensive one at the time.
2. 1994-95 onwards.
3. Depends on the condition of the tub base. It looks in great condition. If the base is similar, restore and shelve. If it's very used, do as you wish.
4. Yes.
5. The gold pan came out in 1984. This has ten years of evolution.
Basically I am sure someone will swap you for whatever you want in similar condition (or ebay it and buy what you want)...

Re: please tell me what i got myself into!
just noticed: is it just my impression or is this one of the lightened tubs: looks like it was milled before anodising.
That'd make it pretty desired , I think.
(should stay away from rc10 threads, sorry)

If you don't really care of the vintage, if you post it on ebay you could probably get a few of the original RC10s for even money. You could then shelve one, beat one up, and use the third for parts.
