Agreed, Technacraft wheels are a thing of beauty! Looking forward to more pics!

Re: - Edinger lane RC10 with Tecna shoes & Novak goodness -
Small update as I went a bit through the car checking details and make it as smooth as possible while adding some elements. Wheels are now mounted and I have made a selection of period electronics like a Novak NESC-4 ESC that was introduced in 1985, a NER-2S receiver and a Futaba S-3003 servo which are now mocked up on the chassis waiting for some black tape to seal the receiver, rewiring operations and RX plug changes. Sorry for the crappy phone pics.

Hey Paul no one should feel not worthy, we all are worth something whatever we do!
@Phin: yes indeed I made some research yesterday and this very servo is actually still available! I’ll try to source a more period correct one. I would love to find an early Airtronics one. I have a NES 1-A but thought there was too much orange already.

What they said. Regular s132 or s135 also work. Can't offer any suggestion for Airtronics servos other than it'd probably have to have a black label.

I found this hidden in a stash of old electronics. Does it qualify? I will have to change that plug though and shorten the cable. I might even hit the soldering iron tonight.

Thanks mk-Zero!
So I fired up the soldering iron as planned yesterday and spent the whole evening painstakingly rewiring the servo and ESC with new J-plugs. I also found an old AE male plug to connect the ESC to the motor. The receiver got a new black tape around the case too and I re-soldered the motor wires in a cleaner way. I then added an old antenna wire and tried to tidy up everything as much as I could.

Lord oh Lord this is killing me
(what's up with the splice on the battery + wire? Was there some kind of external fuse on the "4"?
Paul
