Semi updated bullet, it’s a development for a customer that wants a set. Changed a lot of little things but kept the overall spirit of the car

I got Vandal-ized today
In a good way
Thanks Vandal for the original drill templates and cut templates! Also a couple chassis blanks- one oval
The kind of thing dreams are made of
Still trying to figure out what this one is for
The bevels are on the inside and the marking for drilling are too

In a good way

Re: A-Main Bullet Fwd 4ws RC10 conversion Tribute build
heyo! just re read this thread (any chance of you "fixing" the pics?) noticed i missed a q ya had at one point mike made a "variable" wing it worked ok on a smooth track but on a bumpy track the thing would change angle on every little bump and load or unload the rear making it very unpredictable! and mike used to "make" custom lenth dogbones when hed change somthing
as im diggin thru stuff i keep findin stuff lol
prolly be more

I hope someone will get the pics of the first pages sorted. This thread is just great, so quirky! I love it.

Was on Facebook and got a reply on a thread from Ken Campbell of Delta for something unrelated and look what popped up! So cool! (Btw, I did not call Delta homebuilt by amateurs- that was someone else
). Phin, was Boomsma part of both A-Main? I remembered you asking about that name before while also asking about Mike Hendrickson.

hah ... "homebuilt by amatuers" ... hey, somebody called our name !! ... our first cnc mill was an dinosaur bridgeport boss 4 ... had a teletype machine to enter directions ... that lasted about a day but was fun ... then we retrofitted it with aerotec controllers but kept the stepper motors. we did our own system so we gained 3D ... this dinosaur worked great for about 20 years ... stopped only because the spindle bearings got loose . ... we had a lot of fun doing our own control language ... no * G * codes ... we used english words ... " routeacircleleft " ... " mirror " ... " flip " ... " doitagain " ... " stopandgozup " ...anything we could think up ... we even allowed the operator to make up his own commands as he ran the machine ... ....... this allowed the farmers and housewives that worked with us to run the machine with very little practice .................... hey, some of our customers would even visit and run their own parts with about an hour's practice. A-Main's Rich Boomsma came for a week and we developed his conversion for the rc-10 right at the mill ( Bridget ) ... making parts and trying them, then changing the design, repeat ... .... Jim Dieter picked it up in about 5 minutes and we ran around the clock growing a trinity dirt 1/10 mobile .... ... fun times for us homebuilders ... in our 40 years at Delta, we never brought in " professional " machinists ... but we certainly had a lot of folks that loved to turn out good parts for good people ... oh, i still have Bridget ... anybody wanna have cheap fun in their garage ? ( that is where Delta started ... you never know ... ) ...

Re: A-Main Bullet Fwd 4ws RC10 conversion Tribute build
No Boomsma wasn't involved with the A-Main that made the Bullet. Before you tracked down a copy of the Bullet manual I had contacted Kunio Dudgeon looking for info about A-Main....here's part of the reply I got from him which mentions their dealings with Delta.
I talked to [Rich] about that front wheel drive rc-10 conversion and he told me he didn't have anything to do with that. He did tell me that guys from Delta Manufacturing told him that there was a guy who used "A-Main" as a business name long ago and this guy was not in business anymore. Rich started to have Delta make aftermarket top gear for associated stealth transmission and sold it as a a-main product, since this other guy was not using it anymore.

Ahh ok, that’s cool. Ken is fairly chatty on Facebook so when I saw that name I got excited. In my mind it could had been possible as the car came with delta shocks as well.
