Tamiya Super Clodbuster

Post by tecnica2001 »

::::MODS IF THIS IS A DUPLICATE THREAD PLEASE DELETE:::

I was never a big fan of the Clodbuster, but when a deal cam around, I got one and it became one of my favorites..

I did a bunch of subtle changes, and still the truck looks pretty stock.
...
I lowered the body,
Drilled holes on the back half of the wheels to soften them a bit,
Made a custom wheelie bar,
It's running stock silver cans,
Hitec HD servo w/ larger servo horn (full steering lockout),
Traxxas XL5 ESC,
4000mah 50c shorty lipo,
Had a set of holiday buggy decals laying around and used them on the Clod
And finally installed a set of rc4wd King shocks....

Nice looking truck! I agree---stock clodbusters suck. They were underpowered, weak steering, and looked a little too tall for the rest of their dimensions. On the other hand, they are an awesome platform to build a personalized custom truck. I really like what you did with this one.
