Re: Pictures of Gene Husting's Original RC10
Thank you for your efforts, Steve
How fortunate we are here to have access (photos, first-hand information, etc.) to the very first car around which this site was founded. Very, very cool.
I’d say this thread (or your final document/photos in some form) deserves a place of prominence – at least a sticky or whatever it’s called.
Looking forward to more photos and stories…

I think this has been answered already elsewhere here, if my memory serves me right, there is no obvious reason besides the fact that the shocks just performed better like that, but I'm sure Steve will have more to say...bdrmbully wrote:loving the shock collars, but why are the rears upside down?thanks for indulging us btw.

Steve has posted an answer to this in the Ask Gene Hustings thread. Very interesting stuff. I think they look better upside down.Asso_man! wrote:I think this has been answered already elsewhere here, if my memory serves me right, there is no obvious reason besides the fact that the shocks just performed better like that, but I'm sure Steve will have more to say...bdrmbully wrote:loving the shock collars, but why are the rears upside down?thanks for indulging us btw.
He's an idiot. Comes from upbringing. His parents are probably idiots too.

The shock seals were leaky right side up, so they turned them upside down to slow down the leak.bdrmbully wrote:loving the shock collars, but why are the rears upside down?thanks for indulging us btw.

Looks like it's time to fire up the Bridgeport & buy more white nylon!!!!, great history
Re: Pictures of Gene Husting's Original RC10
Great pics for those that weren't there or around at the time...........
.........interesting though, that since they didn't yet have ESCs back then that they didn't include a mechanical speedo (bastads that they were) and instead pic'd some servos to center the battery pack.

For those who have long waited for the Stealth pictures, I'll shoot them today and post them in their own thread in this section of the forum.
